A lot has been talked in the papers recently concerning the bingo industry singing the blues as a consequence of the anti cigarette law in England. Things have become so bad that in Scotland the Bingo industry has called for massive aid to help keep the businesses alive. But does the net variation of this classic game provide a reprieve, or will it not compare to its real life equivalent?

Bingo has been an enduring game normally played by the "blue haired" generation. In any case the game of late had seen a recent comeback in acceptance with younger men and women opting to visit the bingo parlors in place of the bars on a weekend. The outcome of the anti smoking law can already be felt in Scotland where cigarettes are already prohibited in the bingo halls. Players have dropped and the industry is beyond a doubt struggling for to stay alive. But where have the players gone? Certainly they have not deserted this age old game?
