Much has been reported in the papers just a while ago regarding the bingo industry struggling as a result of the smoking ban in the United Kingdom. Things have grown so poor that in Scotland the Bingo industry has called for huge aid to assist in keeping the businesses alive. Bingo has been an age old game historically played by the "blue rinse" generation. The outcome of the anti cigarette law can already be looked at in Scotland where smoking is already not permitted in the bingo parlors. Profits have dropped and the industry is literally fighting for its life. But where did the players go? Certainly they haven’t given up on this familiar game?
